Alea has launched a new jackpot this year and founder Alex Tomic thinks educating players about how to play jackpots is crucial.
Interviewed live at ICE 2026, Tomic explains why jackpot mechanics that are tied to games from different studios are unclear to players and how having an agnostic jackpot gives power back to operators.
He also discusses the concept of syndicate bets, with players pooling their money for lottery tickets and competing in a league as an extension of the jackpot system.
As Tomic puts it: “We have people playing together, against other people playing together and multiply that and you have a league. That’s the beauty of it.”
