As esports betting continues to rise in popularity within the gambling landscape, the demand for tailored, tech-driven solutions is reshaping the industry. One of the companies at the heart of this transformation is Oddin.gg, a B2B provider pushing the boundaries of this growing space with its proprietary betting ecosystem.

In this conversation with Yogonet, Marek Suchar, Co-founder and Managing Director of Partnerships, shares the story behind Oddin.gg’s impressive growth, the core philosophy driving its product development, and how the company is helping operators tap into the full potential of esports wagering.

Oddin.gg has expanded globally in just seven years, being named the fastest-growing tech company in Central Europe at the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards. What were the key challenges and breakthroughs that helped you scale so rapidly?

Oddin.gg’s rapid global scaling and recognition as the fastest-growing tech company in Central Europe stem from our extreme focus on hard but critical services, not just “nice to have” features. We started with odds feed and risk management, including iFrame, delivering stable margins and growing volume to all of our clients. They stay with us because we deliver consistent results and a stable margin month after month.

Later on, we added functionalities such as widgets, visualizations, data, and betting streams that help with engagement. These are valuable, but they’re easier to build and maintain – and offer significantly less impact for bookmakers than the core infrastructure.

We’ve also followed our true passion and belief in esports. We turned that into a strategic focus on a product that connects the esports ecosystem with a sustainable resource of income – and we’ve seen that proven in iGaming. We approached the space differently and recognized the immense potential of esports has in iGaming to engage and bring in new audiences.

We also saw the inadequacy of traditional sports betting models. A key breakthrough was the development of a specialized product tailored to the unique dynamics of esports, allowing for more accurate and reliable lines. This was coupled with a proactive approach to risk management that went beyond just protection, opening up more market opportunities for operators, allowing them to scale confidently. The efficiency of our lines is on average 93%, which is unheard of in esports betting. We’ve also delivered over 10% higher margin to clients using risk management compared to those using odds feed alone.

Oddin.gg attributes its success to this specialized product, the ability to properly manage risk and boost betting activity, and a partnership-oriented approach with bookmakers, offering analysis and guidance on line adjustments based on real-time data.

Since our startup days, we’ve evolved from a new entrant to a sophisticated provider, emphasizing not just odds but a comprehensive understanding of risk management as a tool for growth, supported by advanced technology and a deep understanding of both iGaming and the esports ecosystem.

Oddin.gg is the only provider on the market capable of delivering a full esports solution – from data, widgets, and betting streams to odds feed, risk management, iFrame, unique esports content, and engagement tools. There is no other supplier able to match the depth and sophistication of our services.

As part of this expansion, Oddin.gg now holds six sports betting licenses across North America. What has your entry into the U.S. market looked like, and what lessons have you learned along the way?

We recognize the immense potential of the U.S. market and believe it’s on track to become the largest regulated esports betting market globally. That makes securing licenses and building a strong presence here a strategic priority for us.

We’ve already had the opportunity to work with major operators like ESPNBet and theScore Bet, and we’re seeing continued strong interest from other key players across the U.S. market. At the same time, we’ve been actively engaged in navigating the complex regulatory landscape – working closely with regulators, securing licenses, and helping educate stakeholders on the unique characteristics of esports betting.

Obtaining licenses, such as in Ohio, is crucial, but it’s not a quick process. That’s why our approach in the U.S. focuses on adaptability. We tailor our offering to meet both the regulatory and operational needs of local operators. That includes providing tools to deliver competitive odds and manage risk effectively, especially across multiple tiers of esports competitions.

We also hope to leverage our technological edge, particularly in AI and machine learning, to support faster, more accurate odds creation and risk management. Our end-to-end ecosystem, from odds feed and risk management to iFrame and engagement tools, gives U.S. operators everything they need to integrate and scale quickly.

At the end of the day, we’re not just offering a product – we’re helping operators build a foundation for long-term success. And with 85% of all turnover coming from live esports betting, our infrastructure, which is optimized for real-time data, gives them a significant competitive advantage.

As you previously mentioned, your platform leverages AI and machine learning for odds creation and risk management. How do these technologies give you and your partners a competitive edge?

Oddin.gg has used machine learning from day one to power our odds modeling and risk management. These models process massive volumes of historical and real-time in-game data to deliver accurate, responsive odds tailored to the unique pace of esports.

Today, we’re applying AI to boost predictive accuracy in late-game scenarios, particularly in complex esports titles like Dota 2 or League of Legends, where the complexity of live markets and player behavior increases.

On the risk side, AI helps us monitor patterns in real time, flag irregular activity, and support our trading team in making fast, informed decisions. It’s not just about protection – it’s about giving operators confidence to scale with control.

This is all part of our broader end-to-end ecosystem, which includes our multi-award-winning odds feed, live content, iFrame, 24/7 Fast Betting Content, BetBuilder, widgets, and risk management. Every element is designed to drive engagement, improve margins, and give operators the tools to grow profitably in a high-performance esports betting environment.

You’ve just announced a multi-year data partnership with Exort, a rising force in competitive Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournaments. What excites you most about this collaboration?

The partnership with Exort was driven by several key factors. At Oddin.gg, we recognize the importance of supporting the development of the broader esports ecosystem – not just the Tier 1 scene, but also the rising Tier 2 competitions that bring depth and sustainability to titles like CS2.

Partnering with Exort, a rising force in CS2 tournaments, allows us to contribute to that growth while gaining exclusive access to high-quality official data. For our operator partners, this means better coverage, more accurate odds, and a more reliable CS2 betting product overall.

Just as importantly, Oddin.gg and Exort share a commitment to integrity. This collaboration reinforces that value, ensuring fair and transparent betting environments as CS2 continues to evolve into one of the key pillars of the esports betting scene.

Esports betting is still considered a niche by some in the industry. What do you see as the biggest misconceptions or overlooked opportunities in this space? What are the most significant trends you’re tracking?

The idea that esports betting is still a niche simply doesn’t hold up anymore, not when viewership rivals traditional sports and betting volume continues to climb. Predictions of significant growth in betting handle demonstrate its substantial potential. Esports fans are often young, tech-savvy individuals with disposable income and a high level of engagement. This demographic represents a valuable market for betting operators.

We have multiple clients for whom esports is already a top-five sport, contributing 5-15% of total sports betting handle. It’s the only vertical capable of growing 70-120% year-on-year without major marketing spend, and even more when marketing investment is made. Combine that with the average age of an esports fan of 23 versus 50 for a baseball fan, and it becomes clear why the LTV of esports bettors is in a different league.

Applying traditional sports betting models to esports often leads to inaccurate odds, ineffective risk management, and missed opportunities. Each title has its own gameplay mechanics, strategies, and competitive dynamics. Esports fans also behave differently – they prefer singles over parlays (93% of our bets are singles) and favor fast, in-play betting. That’s why 85% of our turnover comes from live markets. Operators using a copy-paste model often miss these behavioral nuances and lose out on engagement and profitability.

Another overlooked opportunity is risk management. It’s not just a defensive tool. When used properly, it allows operators to scale volume, manage exposure, and capture new market share with confidence.

Significant trends we’re tracking include the continued mainstreaming of esports, growth of mobile-first betting, expansion in the U.S. market, innovation in products like BetBuilder, increasing use of AI and potentially VR/AR, and the ongoing rise of eSims.

How does Oddin.gg balance its global growth ambitions with maintaining a focus on product quality and partner success? What’s next for the company?

We never settle. Continuous refinement of our algorithms, models, and infrastructure is what allows us to scale without compromising performance or accuracy.

We haven’t built a product-shaped offering – we’ve built a true end-to-end esports betting ecosystem. That gives us full control over quality, starting with data, modeling, and trading, all the way through to the odds output and risk management. This level of control creates synergies that our partners can’t get elsewhere. Having access to real-time bet slips through risk management acts as a live feedback loop on the quality of our lines, and that’s priceless. The more traffic we cater to, the more information we have, and the better we can be. We’re already handling billions of euros, and that scale gives us an unmatched edge. Our widgets, betting streams, and other front-end tools are just the cherry on top.

Our strength comes from combining the right tools with the right people. We’ve built a team with deep expertise in esports, betting, and technology – people who understand the space and are passionate about shaping what’s next. That mindset is reflected in how we collaborate with our partners: we focus on what drives their profitability, offering tailored solutions, hands-on support, and tools that actually deliver.

We also engage directly with regulators to support sustainable growth in newly regulated markets. Looking ahead, our roadmap includes deeper collaboration with sportsbook operators, platforms, publishers, and tournament organizers, as well as regional expansion across North America, Latin America, and Asia. Product-wise, expect even more around 24/7 content, player-driven engagement, and innovative data formats that take the esports betting experience even further.
