MGM China has appointed Kenneth Feng as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective December 19.

Feng, 55, will lead the Macau-focused casino operator as it enters its next stage of development. He brings more than two decades of experience within MGM China and its parent company, MGM Resorts International. Feng joined the group in 2001 and has since held a wide range of senior leadership roles spanning finance, strategy, operations and development.

Over the years, Feng has served as president and executive director of MGM China, as well as a director of MGM Grand Paradise Limited. He joined the company’s board as a non-executive director in May 2018 and later assumed expanded responsibilities, including president, chief financial officer and executive director.

In accordance with company regulations, he remains subject to retirement by rotation and re-election at MGM China’s annual general meetings.

At the group level, Feng has held several senior international positions, including vice president of international operations in 2007, senior vice president in 2009, and executive vice president of MGM International Operations in 2017. These roles provided him with extensive experience in global expansion and regulatory compliance, which are expected to support MGM China’s strategy in Macau’s post-pandemic recovery.

Feng has entered into a fixed three-year contract with the company, with an annual base salary of US$1.5 million. He is also eligible for a discretionary bonus linked to company performance and individual achievements.

According to MGM China’s 2024 annual report, Feng received total compensation of HKD 24.2 million (approximately US$3.1 million) over the past 12 months, including salary, benefits, retirement contributions, share-based payments and incentives. He also holds 2,861,100 share options under the company’s share plan.

The leadership change comes alongside a transition in the chief operating officer role. Hubert Wang, who served as president and COO for 14 years, has stepped down to pursue personal interests. His responsibilities have been taken over by Tian Han, a long-serving MGM executive who joined the company prior to the opening of MGM Macau in 2007 and most recently served as senior vice president of gaming operations and strategic marketing.

MGM China has also confirmed the appointment of Antonio Menano as Chief Legal Officer, following his tenure as executive vice president of legal and general counsel.

Menano, like Feng and Tian, joined the company ahead of the opening of MGM Macau and has been responsible for managing legal and compliance affairs as the group grew its footprint in Macau.

MGM China runs the MGM Macau property on the Macau peninsula and the MGM Cotai resort in the Cotai gaming district. The company said the leadership changes highlight its continued focus on reinforcing management across its Macau-based gaming and hospitality operations. It also noted that the three executives have spearheaded key initiatives over the years that have contributed to the company’s expansion and progress in the local market.
