iGaming content provider SOFTSWISS hosted a debate between senior executives from the online gambling industry to examine some of the most contentious claims shaping online gaming marketing, branding, and content strategy.

The discussion brought together SOFTSWISS Chief Marketing Officer Valentina Bagniya and Robin Harrison, Global Content Director at Clarion Gaming, in an unscripted podcast-style debate on controversial industry statements around brand, strategy, and content.

According to SOFTSWISS, the format required participants to respond to bold iGaming assertions without prior preparation, with topics including the role of creativity in business performance, the information most valuable to industry leaders, and the relevance of industry reports in modern marketing strategies.

This podcast is a chance to have the kind of conversation the industry often misses – honest, unscripted, and practical. We didn’t know the topics in advance, so the discussion stayed real, spontaneous, and genuinely engaging. We look at bold iGaming marketing statements through the lens of what really drives results: brand trust, player attention, and performance, said Valentina Bagniya.

I enjoyed challenging assumptions and exploring different viewpoints with Robin, and I hope listeners will take away clear ideas they can apply right away,” Bagniya added.

Harrison said the discussion aimed to move beyond widely repeated industry narratives.

“I enjoyed this podcast because we don’t just repeat popular opinions, we test them. In iGaming, there are a lot of people making grand statements, but it’s important to cut through the noise and the rhetoric. We talked through the big claims around brand, content, and strategy, and I hope listeners will leave with a clearer view of these disciplines in gaming, not to mention ideas they can actually use,” he said.

The podcast is available via the SOFTSWISS Products channeland is positioned as offering insights into key marketing challenges facing the iGaming sector in 2026.

Bagniya, a long-time industry executive, was named Marketer of the Year at the 2025 EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards, while the SOFTSWISS marketing team also won Marketing Team of the Year and Best Marketing Campaign awards that year.

The debate follows the recent release of SOFTSWISS’ 2026 iGaming Trends Report, which outlines macro- and micro-trends expected to shape the sector next year. The report is intended to help operators develop business strategies for 2026.
