Parx Casino Shippensburg will soon shed its status as the only casino in Pennsylvania without traditional table games.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will hold test days for live-dealer table games on Tuesday and Wednesday. A soft opening is scheduled for Friday, pending final approval, followed by a grand opening weekend beginning Feb. 6.

The new casino floor will feature 12 tables with 72 seats offering blackjack, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Three Card Poker.

All revenue generated during the noon-to-8 p.m. testing sessions will be donated to Branch Creek Place, a senior center and Meals on Wheels provider.

“This expansion not only adds more excitement for our guests, but it also strengthens our support for the local economy,” John Marshall, General Manager of Parx Casino Shippensburg, said. “We’re creating new jobs, generating additional revenue for the Commonwealth, and continuing to invest in the long-term success of Shippensburg and Cumberland County.”

Since opening in 2023, the casino has operated a hybrid gaming setup in the middle of the facility featuring 48 electronic table game terminals offering blackjack, roulette, and Three Card Poker, with live dealers handling real cards and spinning a physical roulette wheel.

The Gaming Control Board approved the casino’s request to add traditional tables in November.

Owned by Greenwood Racing, Parx Casino Shippensburg is located on South Conestoga Drive in Shippensburg Township. The 73,000-square-foot facility includes 500 slot machines, multiple bars and restaurants, an entertainment venue, pool tables, and sports betting kiosks.
