Zitro announced the retirement of Vice President Manuela Jiménez after nearly 18 years with the company and more than 50 years in the gaming industry.
Jiménez joined Zitro in 2009 and played a key role in the company’s growth and consolidation as a global gaming supplier, particularly in the Spanish market. Her leadership and industry experience were instrumental in strengthening Zitro’s operations and relationships over nearly two decades, the company said.
“Manuela has been with me since we started this venture, and I honestly can’t imagine Zitro without her,” said Johnny Ortiz, Founder of Zitro. “She’s put her heart into this company every single day. Her experience, judgment, and ability to connect with people are qualities that cannot be replaced.”
Commenting on her retirement, Jiménez said: “I’ve watched this company grow from the very beginning, and being part of the Zitro family has been absolutely rewarding. As I say farewell, I do so with immense pride in what we’ve accomplished, knowing Zitro is in excellent hands.”
The transition has been completed with Albert Zorrilla continuing in his role as General Manager of Zitro Spain. He has worked closely with Jiménez and will lead the company’s Spanish operations going forward, the company announced.
“As Manuela steps away from Zitro, she closes a meaningful chapter,” Zitro said in a statement. “She leaves behind a stronger company, relationships built over years of collaboration, and an industry in Spain that benefited deeply from her contributions. Grace, experience, and a genuine love for the work. That’s how she did it. That’s a legacy worth celebrating.”
Manuela Jiménez was named “Woman of the Year” at the European Casino Awards earlier this month, in recognition of her more than 50 years of contributions to the gaming industry.
