SBC Summit Rio will focus on long-term brand building as Brazil enters its second year as a regulated gambling market, with operators shifting attention from player acquisition to earning public trust.

The event will feature a series of sessions examining how businesses can build sustainable and competitive brands through leadership, influencer partnerships, and responsible advertising.

Speakers will include executives from inside and outside the betting industry, with experience at organisations such as Nike and Meta, alongside representatives from Brazil’s advertising self-regulator CONAR and the country’s creator economy.

Chris Kypriotis, Transformation CEO and former Global VP and CEO of Nike Brazil, will open the leadership stage on March 4 (11:00-11:20) with a keynote titled Inside the Culture of High Performance. Drawing on his tenure at Nike Brazil, where the company surpassed $1 billion in revenue for the first time, Kypriotis will outline how brands can move beyond product-led marketing to build lasting cultural relevance.

During his time at Nike, Kypriotis also led strategic planning around major global events hosted in Brazil, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He will also host a workshop (12:00 – 12:40), Built for Scaling: A Performance Culture Workshop, offering a practical look at how high-performance cultures can be sustained in competitive and highly scrutinised markets.

Creator-led engagement will form another key theme. Also on March 4 (4:40–5:20 PM), Aruan Felix, a Brazilian gaming and streaming personality with more than 7 million followers across YouTube and Instagram, will headline a session titled The Ultimate Collab: Unlocking Value Through Operator–Influencer Collaborations. The discussion will examine how operators can work responsibly with influencers and streamers to build trust and cultural relevance while meeting regulatory expectations.

Regulatory compliance in advertising will be addressed in a panel titled Breaking Down Brazil’s Marketing Rulebook on March 5 (11:00–11:40). The session will feature Sandro Cachiello, Head of RMG at Meta, Juliana Albuquerque, Vice President of CONAR, and Leonardo Benites, COO of Propane. The panel will outline CONAR and Meta advertising standards and discuss how betting brands can design campaigns that are both engaging and responsible.

Brazil’s market is evolving incredibly quickly, and so is the way brands need to show up. Operators have a real opportunity to build something meaningful here, but it takes strategy, cultural understanding, and a responsible approach. That’s exactly what we’re focusing on at SBC Summit Rio,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC.

SBC Summit Rio is expected to bring together 15,000 attendees over three days, with more than 150 speakers across dedicated tracks including Leadership, Tech Innovation, and Marketing. The Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit will provide focused insights into Brazil’s affiliate and payments sectors.

The exhibition floor will feature over 400 exhibiting and sponsoring brands, as licensed operators and prospective entrants gather to explore opportunities in Brazil’s evolving regulated market.
