SOFTSWISS will present its view on Africa’s regulated betting sector during SiGMA Africa 2026 in Cape Town, following data showing the market has more than tripled since 2022.

The event will take place March 3–5 in Cape Town, South Africa. Miranda Guliashvili, Head of Regional Growth at SOFTSWISS, will represent the company at the conference.

A 2025 study by South Africa’s National Gambling Board found that betting accounts for nearly 70% of total revenue in Africa’s regulated gambling industry. The same research indicates that the regulated betting market in Africa has more than tripled in value since 2022.

The figures provide context for industry discussions scheduled during the conference.

“We see strong long-term potential in the African iGaming market, which is now entering a more mature phase of growth,” said Miranda Guliashvili, Head of Regional Growth at SOFTSWISS. “As regulatory frameworks evolve and operational requirements become more complex, the focus for operators is shifting from rapid market entry to building resilient, scalable business models.”

Guliashvili will participate in the panel discussion titled “Sports Betting Product, Odds, and Local Market Fit” on March 4 from 15:30 to 16:00. The session will examine sports betting products and their alignment with local market conditions.

SOFTSWISS has released market studies in recent years, including the “South Africa: iGaming Market Overview 2025.” The report examined the digital betting ecosystem in the country, covering the dominance of sports betting, the role of mobile channels and regulated growth.

The company also published its “2026 iGaming Trends Report,” which reviews regional developments within the global iGaming sector and outlines industry movements for operators.

During SiGMA Africa 2026, partners and visitors may meet the SOFTSWISS team at Stand 054 to discuss developments in the African iGaming market.
