The Secretariat for Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance has approved changes to the brand portfolios of two licensed companies in Brazil’s online sports betting and gaming sector. The decisions, signed by Acting Secretary of Prizes and Bets Daniele Correa Cardoso, were released in the Official Gazette of the Union on February 18 and took effect upon publication.

Under the updated authorizations, BIG Brazil Tecnologia e Loteria SA and Lindau Gaming Brasil SA are each permitted to reduce their operating brands from three to two.

The adjustments were issued through separate ordinances supported by individual processes within the Betting Management System, known as SIGAP. Process number 0005/2024 formed the basis for the BIG Brazil determination, while process number 0085/2024 led to the authorization for Lindau Gaming.

The ordinance concerning BIG Brazil appears as SPA/MF No. 410, dated February 12, 2026. It modifies earlier requirements established in February 2025 by confirming that only two brands will remain active.

The entry in the Official Gazette formalizes the update with the reference: “Brands: BIG and APOSTAR”. Prior to this change, the company operated BIG (big.bet.br), APOSTAR (apostar.bet.br), and CAESARS (caesars.bet.br).

A separate measure, Ordinance SPA/MF No. 418 of February 13, 2026, sets out the revisions for Lindau Gaming Brasil SA. The company, which had previously used SPIN (spin.bet.br), OLEYBET (oleybet.bet.br), and BETPARK (betpark.bet.br), will continue with only the first two brands. The official publication records the update as: “Brands: SPIN and OLEYBET”.

Both ordinances cite Decree No. 11.907 of January 30, 2024, particularly article 55, item I, of Annex I, which outlines the responsibilities assigned to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets. They also reference Law No. 13.756 of December 12, 2018, and Law No. 14.790 of December 29, 2023, as legal foundations for the regulatory decisions.

According to the ministry’s current data, Brazil’s regulated online sports betting and gaming framework consists of 82 authorized companies and 85 operating licenses. Of these licenses, 82 are regular approvals, and three were granted by decisions of the Federal Court. Across the licensed operators, 191 brands are active in the domestic market.
