Global fintech brokerATFX has been named the official sponsor of the poker tournament at SBC Summit Rio 2026, with the invite-only event set to take place during the summit’s opening celebrations in March.

The tournament will be held on March 3 at the Rio Beach Club as part of the event’s official Opening Party. Registration is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., with play running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A total of 100 invited players will compete in a winner-takes-all format, with the last player standing crowned champion. The winner will receive a new iPhone 17 and $1,000 credited to an ATFX trading account. Second place will be awarded $800 on a trading account, and third place $500, with each of the top three finishers also receiving a premium ATFX poker set.

Poker is one of the most universally loved games in the world. It’s a game that demands discipline, strategy, and the ability to keep your nerve when the pressure is on. Partnering with ATFX was a natural fit. Few brands understand calculated risk, timing, and strategic thinking quite like ATFX,” said Paul Mills, Event Director at SBC.

Players will be selected through an invitation-only process led by SBC and ATFX, with places allocated to senior executives, partners, and key stakeholders attending the summit. The selection will prioritise decision-makers to reflect the strategic and competitive nature of the tournament.

Attendees interested in taking part will be able to register their interest via this form.

Founded in the UK in 2017, ATFX operates across 24 locations on five continents and holds nine regulatory licences worldwide. The company provides CFD trading across forex, indices, commodities, and shares, offering MT4 and MT5 platforms, competitive spreads, and trading tools to retail, professional, and institutional clients.

SBC Summit Rio brings together decision-makers who operate in high-pressure, performance-driven environments, much like the world of trading. The tournament creates a setting where strategic thinking and risk management are not just discussed but experienced, making it a natural platform for ATFX to connect with gaming industry leaders in a fun and informal setting,” said Line Peteri, VP of Strategic Partnerships at ATFX.

The poker tournament forms part of the wider SBC Summit Rio 2026, which will run from March 3–5 at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro and will feature a two-day conference, expansive show floor, networking events, and side summits, including the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit.
