California’s Chicken Ranch Casino Resort has announced that the Original Chicken Ranch Casino (known as “the OG”) will reopen next month. A redesigned gaming floor and updated interior layout will greet patrons when the property resumes operations on Sunday, March 1, at 10:00 am.
The reopening follows a full-property refresh that began with a temporary closure on January 5. The renovation included changes to the gaming floor configuration, additional gaming machines, and adjustments intended to improve guest movement throughout the building.
In the month after reopening, the property plans to install 16 electronic table games, adding to the available gaming options on site.
The Original Chicken Ranch Casino will continue to operate as an 18+ property. It will remain fully smoking and will not offer alcohol service. The bingo hall will maintain its regular schedule.
Food and beverage outlets will resume operations alongside the gaming floor.
The Roost Coffee Shop will reopen with coffee and quick bites. Ranch House Restaurant will return with a revised menu centered on hamburgers, fries, and comfort food items. The updated format is designed to allow guests to dine and return to gaming without extended wait times.
“The reopening of the OG is an exciting milestone,” said Joseph Mathiesen-Powell, Tribal Chairman. “This refresh allows us to honor where we started while continuing to grow and improve the experience for our guests.”
