European concerns over illegal gambling activity will frame discussions on June 4 in Amsterdam at the 2026 Gaming in Holland Conference, where stakeholders will assess implications for the Netherlands’ regulated market. As the event nears, organizers have shared a list of the first confirmed speakers.
The event will center on how licensed operators and other stakeholders can contribute to keeping illegal operators at bay. Organizers have aligned this year’s program with the mission statement “Let’s reclaim the market,” directing attention to competitive pressures from unlicensed providers in the Netherlands and other European jurisdictions.
Gaming in Holland founder Willem van Oort said: “Competition from illegal operators is a growing concern, not just in the Netherlands but across multiple European jurisdictions.
“Besides highlighting the issue, I think it is very important to exchange ideas on how stakeholders in the regulated industry can use their market power to help contain and perhaps even reverse this development. With so many key decision makers joining us in Amsterdam, the 2026 Gaming in Holland Conference will be THE place to discuss this issue.”
Beyond channelization, the June 4 conference will address expectations tied to the new Dutch government. Sessions are set to cover tax rates, market development, marketing, artificial intelligence, and related industry matters affecting both land-based and online gambling.
A senior representative of the Netherlands Gambling Authority is included in the initial speaker list, alongside executives from across the gaming ecosystem.
Organizers have announced the first confirmed speakers:
- Arjan Blok, CEO, Nederlandse Loterij
- Luka Pataky, Executive VP, AI & Innovation, Bragg Gaming Group
- Senior Netherlands Gambling Authority representative
- Leo Judkins, Founder, iGaming Leader Mastermind
- Josh Hodgson, COO, H2 Gambling Capital
