Bally’s has relaunched its casino at The Gate complex in central Newcastle, positioning the venue as the company’s flagship property in the UK market.
The reopening follows an investment in interior redesign and updated gaming facilities. The venue, now operating under the Bally’s brand, introduces new gaming options and entertainment features at the city center location.
The Newcastle property is intended to operate as a central nightlife venue offering gaming, sports viewing, and dining.
The casino floor includes slot machines, live gaming tables, and 38 electronic roulette terminals. The venue also includes a dedicated poker room.
Across the property, 44 screens display live sporting events, with designated viewing sections and large screens for sports programming.
Food service at the casino includes an American diner-style menu available from lunchtime until 3:00 a.m. The venue will also host live entertainment every weekend. Free parking is available for guests, and the property plans to move to 24-hour operations beginning the evening of March 14.
Launch night activities include a complimentary drinks reception and canapés, along with live music and introductory sessions for table games. Guests will also be able to take part in cocktail-making activities during the event.
The evening will conclude with a 9:00 p.m. prize draw. The headline prize is a trip for two to Las Vegas or a cash alternative. Additional prizes include free bets and cash giveaways.
Visitors may register for Bally’s membership during the event. The membership program is free to join and provides access to promotional offers and other incentives.

Following the reopening, Bally’s plans to host a schedule of promotional activities and events at the venue.
These include daily competitions, sports-themed activations tied to live broadcasts, and prize promotions such as the “Grab a Grand” giveaway. The venue will also host an event with former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given on March 21, featuring a live question-and-answer session. Regular events, member promotions, and prize draws will form part of the venue’s ongoing programming.
Bally’s Corp. is already in the UK market via its online interactive business. The US operator called the purchase of its first land-based casino in the UK a significant step in its continued global growth.
