Bitcoin poker site Americas Cardroom has reported more than $20 million in payouts against $19 million in guarantees during the first third of its Online Super Series XL, indicating high participation levels across buy-in tiers.
The operator said the OSS XL tournament series has already awarded $20,064,205 million in prize money, with over $28.2 million in guarantees still scheduled.
OSS XL is an extended edition of the platform’s Online Super Series, its flagship tournament offering. The schedule carries more than $50 million in total guarantees, with buy-ins ranging from small-stakes events to higher buy-in tournaments.
Largest completed event posts $2.06 million prize pool
The biggest individual payout so far came from Phil’s Thrill XXL, a $1.5 million guaranteed event that generated a $2,060,000 prize pool. The tournament recorded 206 entries, with player “ErculePokero” winning the title and earning $496,027.
“The early stages of the OSS XL have already produced significant prize pools, but the largest guarantees are still ahead,” said Chris Moneymaker, Pro at Americas Cardroom. “The Main Events traditionally attract some of the biggest fields in the series, and they’re where many of the headline payouts happen.”
Main Events anchor upcoming schedule
The series now moves toward its largest weekend, led by three OSS XL Main Events carrying a combined $5 million in guarantees. Players will have three opportunities to compete for seven-figure prize pools.
The schedule includes two $2 million guaranteed events with buy-ins of $2,650 and $1,050, along with a $1 million guaranteed Main Event priced at $215.
Day 1A flights begin Sunday, followed by additional Day 1B entries on Sunday, March 22. Remaining players will return for Day 2 on Monday, March 23, to determine the winners.
Additional tournaments and leaderboard prizes
Beyond the Main Events, the OSS XL schedule includes several multi-flight tournaments. These include a $1.5 million guaranteed event with a $630 buy-in and two $500,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty tournaments priced at $109.
Additional Mystery Bounty tournaments are available at lower buy-ins, including a $150,000 guaranteed event for $33 and a $100,000 guaranteed tournament for $5.50.
Americas Cardroom also introduced the OSS XL Leaderboard Contest, distributing $65,000 in prizes, including cash and tournament tickets, across High Stakes, Mid Stakes, and Low Stakes tiers.
Online poker operators use large tournament series to support liquidity and engagement across global player pools. In crypto poker environments, payment flexibility and cross-border access can increase participation, with guaranteed series such as OSS XL serving as scheduled points in the online poker calendar.
With more than $28 million in guarantees still to be played, the remaining portion of the OSS XL schedule is expected to produce the largest prize pools and player fields. Participants can compete using cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals through the Americas Cardroom platform.
Americas Cardroom operates as part of the Winning Poker Network and serves a global player base. The platform offers tournament and cash game formats across multiple stakes, alongside cryptocurrency payment options and large guaranteed tournament series.
