SBC has rebranded its Canadian conference and exhibition as SBC Summit Canada, replacing the Canadian Gaming Summit. The next edition of the event will take place May 19–21, 2026.
The rebrand aligns the event with SBC’s global portfolio and positions it as a leading platform for Canada’s gaming industry, covering regulation, market growth, and commercial strategy, the organizer said in a statement. The event has also shifted from its traditional June slot to May, avoiding potential scheduling conflicts with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 2026 edition is expected to attract 3,000 senior executives from Canada’s retail and online casino, sports betting, and iGaming sectors. Over three days, the summit will feature more than 120 speakers, a 50,000+ sq ft exhibition floor, and world-class hospitality.
“Through SBC Summit Canada, we are reaffirming our long-term commitment to the Canadian market with a refreshed event designed to better serve the needs of our stakeholders and keep the focus firmly on driving meaningful business opportunities for our delegates,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark.
He added that 2026 will be a pivotal year for Canada’s gaming industry, with Alberta’s regulation approaching, iGaming on the rise, and the FIFA World Cup in Canada, making it the right time to unite the industry under SBC Summit Canada.
The exhibition floor will host over 75 exhibitors and sponsors, including major suppliers and operators such as Altenar, Gigadat, MNP, MOBINC, Optimove, and Paramount Commerce.
The summit’s conference program will run across three stages, covering leadership strategy in sports betting and casino operations, affiliate marketing, advertising models, cybersecurity, player protection, payments, and compliance.
Key speakers include Tolek Strukoff, CEO of Gateway Casinos & Entertainment; Joseph Hillier, CEO of iGaming Ontario; Paul Burns, President and CEO of the Canadian Gaming Association; Mark Harper, Head of Canada at Rhino Entertainment; Tom Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com; and Scott Vanderwel, CEO of PointsBet Canada.
Topics will explore the development of Alberta’s regulated market, using opportunities from the FIFA World Cup, and the changing role of sports betting in Canada’s iGaming-dominated landscape. Panels will also address regulatory trends, affiliate and social media influence, emerging products such as sweepstakes and prediction markets, and collaboration between operators and regulators to enhance cybersecurity, compliance, and player protection.
The summit will also feature two evening networking events, including an opening party at RS Sports Bar in Toronto and an official SBC Summit Canada networking party, designed to facilitate informal connections among senior industry stakeholders.
SBC Summit Canada forms part of SBC’s global event portfolio, which also includes SBC Summit Rio (March 3–5, 2026), SBC Summit Malta (April 28–30, 2026), SBC Summit Americas (June 9–11, 2026), and the flagship SBC Summit Lisbon (Sept. 29–Oct. 1, 2026).
