As Brazil enters its second year of gambling regulation, operators face the challenge of growing in a crowded market while navigating stricter advertising rules, tighter bonus restrictions, and heightened scrutiny over brand marketing.

The Marketing track at SBC Summit Rio on March 5, 2026, will bring together CMOs, brand strategists, compliance experts, and sponsorship specialists to explore strategies for connecting with Brazilian audiences without breaching regulatory requirements.

Delegates will discuss navigating the latest advertising guidelines from CONAR, adapting promotional strategies to comply with new bonus regulations, and leveraging cultural moments to build authentic brand affinity with Brazilian audiences.

“We’re entering a crucial period in Brazil where brands really need to get their marketing right,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC. “Year one saw brands put a heavy focus on acquisition with a lot of bold and wonderful campaigns. Year two is going to be crucial in acquiring market share, and this track will show you how to do that in a way that sets your brand apart, whilst ensuring you stay compliant with Brazil’s evolving guidelines.”

The track opens with Breaking Down Brazil’s Marketing Rulebook, featuring Juliana Albuquerque, Vice President of CONAR; Leandro Benites, COO of Propane; and Sandro Cachiello, Head of RMG at Meta. The session will provide guidance on updated advertising standards and platform policies.

Other sessions include Why Are Brazilians So Good at Advertising, examining the psychology behind Brazil’s celebrated marketing creativity, and Inside the Deal: The Game Behind Sports Sponsorship, exploring the evolving sponsorship landscape under tighter regulations. Speakers include Bruno Barroso, CEO of BetPass; Ana Paula Castello Branco, CMO of BetMGM Brazil; Ricardo Peixoto, Brazil Country Manager at Sofascore; and Marco Elias, Compliance Lead at Flutter Brazil.

Panels will also cover promotional compliance, culturally relevant sponsorship strategies, and creating value-driven bonus campaigns that comply with new restrictions, while connecting with Brazilian audiences through events such as Carnival.

The marketing track is one of five conference streams at SBC Summit Rio, alongside sessions on affiliation, leadership, tech innovation, and payments, spanning two days of industry-focused discussion.
