Malta-based game provider Gamzix has launched Gamzix Soundverse, a music platform that turns the audio from its games into standalone digital albums available on major streaming services.

The initiative follows its wins in two Best Game Sound categories and reflects a broader effort to showcase audio as a core part of its creative identity. The Soundverse catalogue draws on soundscapes inspired by settings ranging from ancient Egypt and Mexico to Las Vegas, the Carpathian forests, and other themed game worlds.

Gamzix Soundverse is the sonic universe of Gamzix. Each release is its own world, with a distinct mood, genre, and visual identity. In 2025, we received two awards specifically for our music, which inspired us to develop this direction further and openly share the soundscapes from our titles,” the company’s Sound Design Team said in a statement.

The project isn’t limited to a single style. It moves freely across genres while maintaining a recognizable sense of atmosphere. With Soundverse, we want to highlight and share the music behind our games, showing players, partners, and the wider audience that Gamzix is more than just games. It’s about process, creativity, and unconventional approaches,” the team added.

Denis Shcherbak, Gamzix’s Game Director, said the company defines soundtrack requirements either through concrete references or through emotional and atmospheric direction.

“To create a game soundtrack, when the direction is clear, we provide our Sound Design Team very specific references, tracks, films, or even ads that capture the right vibe, tempo, melody, and energy,” Shcherbak said. “When it isn’t as clear, we frame the request around the player’s emotion and the world we’re building: the style, pacing, instrumentation, and the exact feeling the sound should deliver, along with a few cultural touchpoints to guide the team.”

Gamzix sound design is produced in-house, with minimal use of stock libraries. The company uses recordings of real instruments, everyday objects, ambient environments, animal sounds from zoos and natural habitats, ambient noise from streets and public spaces, and voices from the Gamzix team.

Some tracks include contributions from staff members.
Gamzix’s head of brand, Olga Ashykhmina, provided Spanish voice elements for 9 Jalapenos, while account management team lead Daria Danchuk contributed to the soundscape of Jack O’Wild, one of the company’s horror-themed titles.

“For us, sound is worldbuilding,” said Olga Ashykhmina, Head of Brand at Gamzix. “Our Sound Design Team treats each track like a directed scene: they capture real textures and transform them into a playable atmosphere that carries the brand from the very first notes.”

To support the Soundverse launch, Gamzix has also produced branded speakers featuring QR codes that link directly to the playlists, allowing access to the music outside of the games.

The first Gamzix Soundverse albums are now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
