The Merkur Group received three industry awards at this year’s ICE Barcelona, including two honors at the European Casino Awards and an ICE StandOut Award.
At the European Casino Awards ceremony held at the Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel, Merkur Spielbanken was named “Best Multiple Casino Operator.” According to the organizers, the award recognized the operator’s business model, which combines slot gaming, table games, food and beverage offerings, and entertainment within its casino operations.
The group also received the “Corporate Community Engagement Award,” which is presented to companies for social responsibility initiatives beyond their core business activities. The award cited the company’s long-standing emphasis on community involvement as part of its corporate approach.
In addition to the European Casino Awards, the Merkur Group was recognized at the ICE StandOut Awards 2026. The awards, introduced this year, acknowledge exhibitors for contributions to the overall trade show experience.
In the category “Best Onsite Marketing Activation,” event organizer Clarion Gaming selected Merkur Gaming for its “Merkur World” exhibition stand. The booth featured large LED displays, product showcases, and live entertainment elements, including magic performances, cheerleader routines, and DJ sets.
Commenting on the awards, Lars Felderhoff, Chairman of the Management Board of the Merkur Group, said: “ICE 2026 was a resounding success for us, not only because of the overwhelming feedback from our customers. Receiving three awards recognises the dedication, passion, and commitment we put into our work every single day.
“These prizes motivate us to continue setting industry standards and to pursue our successful path. My special thanks go to all my colleagues, whose tireless efforts made this success possible.”
