Global betting company 1xBet has signed a partnership deal with football team Independiente del Valle, Ecuador’s current champion. The contract runs until the end of 2028.
The collaboration launches with the slogan “Un Club Diferente. Una Apuesta Distinta. Multiplica el juego” (“A Different Club. A Different Bet. Multiply the game”). The theme reflects both companies’ goal to build a strong supporter culture, deepen fan engagement, and promote a responsible, innovative approach to entertainment, the partners said.
Independiente del Valle was founded in Sangolquí, a valley near Quito. The team reached Ecuador’s top division for the first time in the 2009/10 season, and its first major success came 10 years ago. On the way to the Copa Libertadores final, Independiente del Valle defeated River Plate and Boca Juniors, earning the nickname El Mata Gigantes (the Giant-Killer).
Since 2019, Independiente del Valle has claimed the LigaPro Serie A twice (2021 and 2025), the Copa Ecuador (2022), and the Supercopa Ecuador (2023). On the international stage, the club has won the Copa Sudamericana twice (2019 and 2022) and lifted the Recopa Sudamericana in 2023. El Mata Gigantes plays its home matches at the modern Estadio Banco Guayaquil, opened in 2021, with a capacity of 12,000 spectators.
As part of the partnership, 1xBet will maintain a strong presence across key areas of the club’s ecosystem. The brand’s logo will appear on match and training jerseys, stadium LED panels, and the club’s digital platforms. In addition, 1xBet plans fan-focused activities, including a dedicated area near the stadium’s main entrance and contests featuring ticket and merchandise giveaways.
