More than 300 participants attended the International Women’s Day forum organized by Aristocrat Gaming and the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines (ANZCHAM).

Held on March 3, the gathering brought together representatives from the business community, public service, and diplomatic missions for discussions related to women’s participation in leadership, community initiatives, and professional development.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” guided the program. Speakers and panelists addressed mentoring, advocacy, access to resources, and time investment in initiatives supporting women. Organizers said the theme focused on how these forms of support can expand opportunities across workplaces, communities, and society.

Among those present were Catherine McIntosh, New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines, and Marc Innes-Brown, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines.

Their attendance formed part of ongoing engagement by both countries in initiatives connected to women and girls in the Philippines, across Asia, and internationally.

“Women play vital roles in community leadership, business and public service, so conversations like these are crucial to advancing representation,” said ANZCHAM President Benjamin Romualdez.

“I’m proud that our event not only celebrated the achievements of women, but also strengthened our shared commitment within the region to increasing visibility, expanding opportunities, and ensuring that women’s perspectives are embedded in decision-making at every level.”

International Women’s Day events in the Philippines and other markets provide forums for discussion and dialogue on women’s roles in business and community settings. Organizers said the gathering will continue to appear on ANZCHAM’s calendar in the coming years.

At Aristocrat Gaming, advancing the representation of women across all levels remains a strategic priority for us, and we believe that having a vibrant mix of perspectives at the table strengthens our performance culture and helps create a sense of belonging for all,” said Lloyd Robson, Senior Vice President of Aristocrat Gaming.

“As the principal event partner, we are incredibly proud to be among community, customers and team members who believe that supporting and strengthening the role that women play in our community can drive industries further.”

Recognized as one of the established chambers operating in the Philippines, ANZCHAM works with members and stakeholders across government and private sector organizations. The chamber conducts programs and initiatives intended to support engagement between businesses in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
