Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant plans to convert its Grand Casino floor into a non-smoking gaming environment following a six-phase renovation that began in January 2026.

The project will result in one of the largest non-smoking casino floors in the United States, housing 5,400 slots and 83 table games upon completion.

The first completed section reopened on February 13. Over the coming months, additional sections will reopen after each phase of construction. Each finished section will operate under the updated non-smoking policy once construction in that area concludes.

Operational changes will occur while work continues across the gaming floor. Guests will be directed to alternate pathways depending on which areas are under construction.

Gaming positions will also be relocated throughout the project. Table games will move to the south side of the Grand Casino floor during portions of the renovation.

The renovation includes the installation of new carpet, revised walkways, and updated lighting across the Grand Casino floor. The work forms part of an ongoing refresh at the property.

The Grand Casino renovation follows work completed two years earlier at the resort’s Grand Tower. That project included updates to all 329 guest rooms and 18 suites.

The casino floor renovation started in January 2026 and will proceed through six phases, with completion targeted for late spring 2026.
