GAT Events has confirmed the academic agenda for GAT Expo Cartagena 2026, to take place from March 24 to 26. The event will also feature a commercial exhibition alongside networking activities designed to position Colombia as the spearhead of the company’s trade show circuit.

The conference and panel sessions will take place on March 24 at the La Niña Hall of the Las Américas Convention Center. The academic program will be led by Fecoljuegos, under the direction of its president, Evert Montero.

The agenda, scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., will update attendees on current regulatory frameworks across the Americas—from North America to the Southern Cone—through presentations from representatives and industry experts.

For the first time, the event will feature the participation of Gregorio Eljach Pacheco, Colombia’s Attorney General, who aims to deliver to attendees “a message of confidence in the country’s institutions and legal framework in a key electoral year for democracy.”

From the business sector, Daniel Velandia, Managing Director of Research and Chief Economist at Credicorp Capital, a financial group with operations in Colombia, Peru, and Chile, will deliver the keynote presentation titled “Economic Outlook 2026.”

Meanwhile, Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, will deliver the opening conference, where he is expected to reaffirm “the Colombian regulator’s commitment to a modern, supervised sector supported by a regulatory framework that is setting the standard in the region.”

One of the academic highlights of this year’s edition will be the international presentation by Brian Krolicki, Vice Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, who will deliver the lecture “Lessons from the Nevada regulatory model for Latin America.”

The agenda will also address the role of industry associations as representatives of operators before governments, as well as the challenges they face in advocating for an ecosystem that contributes to social development while combating illegal gambling. Organizations participating in this session will include Fecoljuegos, AIEJA, SONAJA, ALEA, CORNAZAR, FEDELCO, and APOJA.

Specialized panels will also analyze topics such as technological innovation, traceability, regulatory control, sports integrity and match-fixing prevention, with participation from the Colombian Professional Football League (DIMAYOR). This panel will be moderated by Germán Segura, General Manager of BetPlay.
