Saratoga Casino Holdings has completed the sale of the Magnolia Bluffs Hotel in Natchez, Mississippi, to a group of out-of-state investors who own multiple hotel properties, while retaining ownership of the adjacent Magnolia Bluffs Casino.
The company confirmed that all 28 employees of the hotel will remain in their positions under the new ownership. “We’re pleased that the entire hotel team will continue in their roles, providing continuity for both employees and guests,” said Amy Brannigan, corporate director of marketing.
“Their experience and dedication have been an important part of the hotel’s success, and we’re glad they will remain part of the property’s future under the new ownership.”

The transaction is a change in operational focus for Saratoga Casino Holdings, which operates casino properties in New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Mississippi. The company indicated that the decision was made to prioritize its gaming operations.
“The decision to sell the hotel was made after careful consideration of how we can best position the property for long-term success,” Brannigan said. “By selling the hotel, we are able to sharpen our focus on our core casino business — what our guests know us for and what drives the majority of our operations and growth.”
“This sale provides us the opportunity to dedicate more time, attention, and resources to enhancing the gaming experience. By concentrating on the casino side of the business, we can make strategic investments that improve our gaming floor, introduce new offerings, and elevate the overall experience for our guests.”
The Magnolia Bluffs Casino, located along the Mississippi River in Natchez, continues to operate under Saratoga’s ownership, offering gaming options that include more than 500 slot machines as well as table games such as blackjack, roulette, and poker.
Happy Valley Casino moving closer to opening date
Meanwhile, Saratoga Casino Holdings is involved in other ongoing development projects in the United States, including its role as a development and management partner in the planned Happy Valley Casino at the Nittany Mall in Pennsylvania.

The company has received conditional approval to take majority ownership of the project, which is moving toward an anticipated opening in April following regulatory approvals for slot machines and table games.
The proposed facility is expected to operate as a 24-hour, smoke-free property with 600 slot machines and 30 table games at launch, alongside dining and bar offerings.
Backed by investor Ira Lubert and developed by SC Gaming, the casino is projected to generate between $1.4 million and $1.6 million in annual tax revenue for College Township, where local authorities have supported the development as part of broader efforts to revitalize the mall.
