Play’n GO has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting a major year for the casino entertainment provider as it marked 20 years in business and continued expanding its sustainability efforts across global operations.

The report covers performance across four key areas: Players, Partners, People, and Planet. The company says the update reinforces its “long‑standing belief that sustainable growth and responsible business are inseparable.”

A key highlight of the report is Play’n GO’s progress on emissions reduction. The company confirmed it has exceeded its long-term target of a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, achieving this milestone 15 years ahead of The Climate Pledge timeline and 25 years ahead of the Paris Agreement’s 2050 goal.

The company also achieved a 69% reduction in Scope 3 emissions compared to its 2023 baseline, with total 2025 emissions kept below 500 MTCO2e.

In 2025, Play’n GO launched its first land-based gaming solution in partnership with Genting UK. The system is designed to reduce energy use, hardware requirements, and electronic waste while maintaining player experience in regulated environments.

The company also reaffirmed its player-first approach, stating it avoids game mechanics that may negatively impact player well-being. It also participated in global discussions on digital wellbeing, including forums at the United Nations and G7.

Under its People pillar, Play’n GO reported continued investment in employee development and organizational growth. In 2025, 43% of employees participated in AI-related training programs, while the average learning time exceeded seven hours per employee globally. The company also expanded leadership development programs, well-being initiatives, and employee volunteer engagement activities.

The company aligned its reporting with global standards such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals and World Economic Forum metrics. It also introduced AI-supported carbon data systems to improve reporting accuracy.

“We have always believed that great entertainment should be fun, safe, and fair,” said Vanessa Björkbacka, Director of CSR at Play’n GO. “This report reflects two decades of learning, evolution, and commitment to doing things the right way. Sustainability is not a separate initiative for us – it is embedded into how we design our games, how we work with partners, and how we build the business for the long term.”

“As expectations on transparency and accountability continue to rise, we see it as our responsibility to lead,” Björkbacka added. “Our partners, regulators and players all benefit when sustainability data is credible, measurable and meaningful. This report is about equipping them – and ourselves – with information that supports better decision‑making.”
