Formula 1 has announced the appointment of FanDuel as its first Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada.
The agreement ties the sportsbook directly to Formula 1’s digital platforms and content, with integration planned across website and app during race weekends. FanDuel’s odds, real-time insights, and related material will also appear in Formula 1’s age-restricted Betting Guide and editorial features.
The announcement was made just ahead of last weekend’s Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. The race was held at the Miami International Autodrome, a temporary 5.4 km track with 19 corners constructed around Hard Rock Stadium.
Expanding customer access
FanDuel’s 17 million customers in the United States and Canada have access to betting options connected to Formula 1 events. Available markets include race winners, podium finishes, and head-to-head driver matchups, with additional wagering formats expected later in the season.
“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1,” said Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1.
“As sports betting becomes an increasing component of how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market. With tens of millions of fans across the country, FanDuel is yet another avenue that eligible fans can enjoy and experience the thrill of Formula 1,” Haworth added.
Data integration during race weekends
FanDuel said its platform will use Formula 1 race data to support wagering opportunities across each race weekend. The company will incorporate live information into betting markets and user-facing content.
“Being named an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans,” said Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook. “Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans.”
“This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend,” Corcoran added.
Responsible gaming ambassador named
In a separate announcement, FanDuel also confirmed last week that Erin Andrews has been appointed as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador. Andrews, a broadcaster with Fox Sports covering NFL and college football, will support messaging around betting awareness and tools.
“Sports are, and always have been, such a huge part of my life,” said Andrews. “I was impressed that FanDuel speaks openly about Responsible Gaming and emphasizes that gaming tools should be a part of your winning strategy.”
“And of course, FanDuel gives people all the tools and awareness to enjoy sports betting safely from the start,” he added. “That balance between enjoyment and responsibility in sports betting is something I genuinely believe in. It made me want to be part of the conversation.”
