Affinity Interactive confirmed the completion of the previously disclosed transition of Primm Valley Casino Resorts to Terrible Herbst. Affinity subsidiary The Primadonna Company, LLC, carried out the handover.
Alongside the transition news, Affinity announced three additions to its Board of Directors: Ellen F. Whittemore, Brad Oates and Adam Paul.
Transition process involved state regulator
Affinity acknowledged the Nevada Gaming Control Board‘s role throughout the transition process. The company also extended recognition to the Herbst family as it takes over operation of the Primm properties, and to the Primm family for its part in the process.
According to Affinity, the completed transition allows the company to direct its attention to long-term priorities across its remaining portfolio of assets. The company characterized the three board appointments as part of its approach to governance and oversight as it moves into its next phase of operations.
Board additions bring legal and restructuring background
Whittemore previously served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Wynn Resorts. Her background spans corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk management, and includes work on global regulatory initiatives, large-scale business transformations and board advisory matters covering governance, cybersecurity, ESG and enterprise risk.
Oates chairs Stone Advisors and holds NACD Certified Director status. He previously served as an independent director of CIT Group and has held executive and board roles across banking, financial services and advisory firms, with a focus on corporate governance and business turnarounds.
Paul is a restructuring attorney and board advisor with more than 25 years of experience. He has advised boards, special committees, investors and executive teams on complex restructurings and strategic transactions, and has held independent director and special committee positions tied to high-profile restructuring cases.
