The latest monthly revenue report from the Connecticut State Department for Consumer Protection showed that online gambling operators generated total revenues of $46.2m. This figure was up 34.7% year-on-year and 5.2% compared to the previous month.
Online casino gaming win totalled $31.1m for October, an increase of 2.6% against the $30.3m reported in the previous month. Meanwhile, total wagers came to $1.14bn, which was slightly up on the $1.12bn reported in September.
Connecticut’s online gaming market leader remains DraftKings and its Mashantucket Pequot tribe partner which generated $18.7m in revenue from $688.3m in wagers. FanDuel and Mohegan Sun followed with $12.3m in revenue from $458.8m in wagers.
FanDuel, Mohegan are sports betting leaders in Connecticut
Sports betting operators in Connecticut reported $189.6m in wagers during October, which was up 15.5% year-on-year. Some $177.1m or 93.7% of that total came from online sportsbooks, with the remainder from retail.
FanDuel and Mohegan were the market leaders with revenue of $7.6m. DraftKings and Mashantucket posted $6.3m.
Connecticut’s sportsbooks generated a record $16.3m in revenues during October, which was up 29.3% year-on-year. Online sports betting revenues came to just over $15.0m, another state record.
Sports betting generated $2.2m in state taxes, the highest total recorded since Connecticut sports betting launched in October 2021.
