Handle was some way clear of the $3.5m spent in Delaware in March last year. It was also up 37.0% from $13.8m in February of this year.

The significant year-on-year increase was driven by the launch of the Delaware Lottery’s first online sportsbook. Powered by Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and BetRivers, the sportsbook went fully live in January.

Breaking down performance, Delaware Park led the way in March with $681,548 in revenue off $13.1m in bets. Harrington Raceway placed second on $176,583 from $3.3m, then Bally’s Dover with $113,692 off $1.5m.

A further $58,273 in monthly sports betting revenue came from $990,664 bets placed with retailers across Delaware.
