The new Vegas Infinite name forms part of a wider, full-scale overhaul of the free-to-play social casino game.

Launched by PokerStars 2018, the product allows players to sit with friends at a virtual poker table, chat in real time and interact with their surroundings. The game has continued to expand since Flutter acquired the PokerStars brand in 2021.

This has included adding blackjack, roulette, slots, craps and Rocket Rush, as well as Spin & Go poker and the Metaverse Poker Tour. Vegas Infinite also uses the ToxMod AI live chat monitoring tool to assist users with playing.

Updated features for Vegas Infinite players

The new-look Vegas Infinite features an updated 3D virtual cityscape, personal player suites and luxury casinos. PC players can also join others on Steam VR and Meta Quest VR, with no headset required.

“As we approach our fifth anniversary, it’s incredible to think how far our game has come,” PokerStars’ director of VR and innovation, James O’Reilly, said.

“From a cutting-edge experiment in applying virtual reality to the poker table, we’ve grown to become a living entertainment destination. We have a full suite of games and experiences played in otherworldly environments that are home to an avid community of players.

“Today, we’re much more than poker and much more than VR. Vegas Infinite is where we’re taking our players next and there’s lots more in store.”
