Asian gaming veteran Ng Man Sun has resumed his leadership role at Hong Kong-listed Century Entertainment International.
In a Wednesday filing, the company announced his appointment as an executive director, board chairman and chairman of the nomination committee, effective immediately. Ng replaced Tang Ho Ka, who will now serve as an executive director and chief executive.
Ng served in the same capacities from September 2014 to May 2025. When he resigned last year, he cited “personal commitments”, but did not elaborate.
Century called the 78-year-old “a highly respected veteran of Macau’s gaming sector with over four decades of experience in VIP gaming, junket operations and casino investment management”. He played a key role in the “evolution of Macau’s junket intermediary ecosystem during the industry’s liberalisation phase”, Century continued. Once associated with the godfather of Macau gaming, Stanley Ho, he enjoys “longstanding working relationships with key stakeholders in advancing high-roller gaming services and cross-border facilitation arrangements”.
Century Entertainment “is principally engaged in investments in gaming and entertainment”, according to the company website. It now operates VIP rooms in Dara Sakor, Cambodia, and is looking to expand to both the Philippines and Vietnam.
Last June, Century suspended trading following a disclaimer of opinion on its financial statements.
