Out of the 29 states that have casinos, 27 have authorized their reopening. Only two states maintain total closure: Baja California Sur, which has not reopened at all since March 2020; and Campeche, which closed again due to an increase in infections. The states of Coahuila, Oaxaca, and Tlaxcala do not have casinos. The solution to the economic impact caused by the pandemic to many operators was the request for loans because the government practically has not granted financial incentives.
