esorts World Las Vegas announced Friday its purchase of a Boeing 787-8 airliner to expand its private airline fleet, thus improving its charter capabilities for commercial use and the premium segment.

It was previously held by Genting Hong Kong‘s wholly-owned subsidiary Crystal Luxury Aircraft Holdings Limited, and it was purchased by Resorts World Las Vegas on October 26.

The new aircraft can transport up to 262 guests with both economy and business class seating options. WIth a range of up to 8,200 nautical miles, the airliner allows for non-stop routes from Las Vegas to Asia, Europe and Latin America.

As the only resort-owned airplane this size in Las Vegas, “this purchase opens up new opportunities for the resort’s potential and existing luxury customers, as well as a large groups and premium mass segments seeking easy and exclusive travel options, offering an amenity not currently available in the marketplace”, the company said in a statement.

This new addition also provides Resorts World Las Vegas the chance to explore charter services outside the resort’s primary hospitality function through its sales and convention teams, as an alternative option for large corporate and leisure groups to fly privately to and from international destinations and key metropolitan cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Dallas and Chicago, linking Resorts World’s global properties.

The resort’s airline fleet also includes a Bombardier Express XRS jet, purchased in June 2021, which is designed to accommodate just 12 guests in ultimate comfort.
