Hours before Day 1 of the 2021 Peru Gaming Show (PGS), which runs December 1-2 at the Centro de Exposiciones Jockey in Lima, Peru, Agapi Abroyan, BetConstruct‘s Operations Manager for LatAm spoke with Yogonet about this new industry encounter and the opportunities the latin american market presents. The company is showcasing its products at Booth #41.

Peru Gaming Show returns with its face-to-face event and BetConstruct is a confirmed exhibitor. What do you expect for this trade show’s comeback?

Collaboration with PGS is very important for BetConstruct. It gives us the opportunity to take part in one of the most important events in the market and we are very excited about this fact. As always, we hope to see our existing and new partners, all in good health and in high spirits and ready to network, talk igaming and discover the innovations that have been in progress at BetConstruct for the whole year.

How much has BetConstruct grown since it set up its office in Peru?

As a platform provider, we already have very strong roots and a firm position in the gaming and sports betting market of Latin America. Our presence in Peru helped us to grow very fast. Living with the culture of the region we understood the market, the clients and all the specific requirements from both sides. Their trust is what we have ultimately gained and continue to inspire it in more newly arrived operators. Additionally, with our regional offices in the region and with different types of 24/7 support we continue our constant growth and expansion.

How many local operators have already chosen BetConstruct as a provider?

BetConstruct as a sports betting platform provider has solutions for any demand and specialty. That is why our partners are in the entire spectrum of the industry; from large physical casinos to small operators that use our software for their online players. In all of LatAm we have around 100 partners, 30% of which are coming from Peru.

In recent years, Peru has gained recognition as a stable and regulated gambling market with a significant number of slot machine saloons and with remarcable sports betting offer, both land-based and online (a sector with no regulation yet). What is the diagnosis of the Peruvian market today?

The market continues to grow which shows the constant interest of investors in the region. This makes the market more competitive for operators. We can say the double growth of the market would balance out the future regulation of online betting.

These two years of pandemic, especially due to all the sanitary restrictions, has driven up the growth of online gaming (casino, sports betting, virtual sports, esports and lotteries) and online payment methods too. Unlike other regions, these sectors were not very mature in Latin America. What kind of changes has BetConstruct implemented in its services and products in order to be aligned with the market’s needs?

BetConstruct has solutions for any type of operators. The land-based casino owners benefit a lot from the solution that allows them to go online immediately, especially in the times of restrictions on physical activities. The implementation of branded studios helped and also pushed the boundaries in the market too.

An important highlight for LatAm market is the inclusion of local payment systems into our platform for all operators and their players. And as we move to another level of implementations, BetConstruct already offers its own in-house developed crypto solution Fasttoken for sports betting. With the full range of our tools and experiences, we are ready to face new challenges.

Is Latin America a good market for an innovation such as Hands-Do?

We have big plans with our Live Casino innovation Hands-Do. First, it is a robot hand that plays the game, deals the cards, collects them from the table and starts another round. This is a unique solution since it has zero human involvement from the side of the casino. Hands-Do performs all the actions in the games.

Among the many advantages that operators can have by integrating Hands-Do games into their casino are avoiding human errors, having one-of-a-kind accuracy and reducing expenses on hiring staff. Of course it does not replace the classic communication between humans, but it gives a new twist to what is known as live casino and attracts new audiences.
