The traditional event held in the capital city of Lima had a special taste this year since it marked the return of in-person events to the Peruvian soil after the confinement brought upon by the pandemic.

The two-day framework that brought together operators, regulators, suppliers, and industry associations was considered a success not only by exhibitors and visitors but also by the organizers of PGS 2021, who celebrated the return of the activity and thanked the industry for its support in their traditional annual proposal.

“The conference was at full capacity, with space available for standing room only. We even put 200 chairs, always respecting social distance, and the attendance has been very satisfactory. We had approximately 1,200 people attend on the first day, thus exceeding all our expectations,” acknowledged Joe López, one of the event’s organizers.

“The energy was fantastic,” he added during an interview with Yogonet. “You could see that exhibitors and operators were very happy to be back to normalcy, and be able to meet face-to-face once again. Many even thanked us for organizing the fair and giving them the opportunity to meet again”.

Rubén Solorzano, also one of the organizers, said: “As organizers, we are more than happy with the results, and we have high expectations for PGS 2022, which will be held on June 15-16“.

“The closing ceremony was outstanding”, Solorzano added yesterday during the interview. “We visited the stands and everyone congratulated us. We really feel very satisfied and happy with the excellent response we received from the industry players. PGS bet on the re-encounter, and the results could not have been better“.

“We bet on the sector, and on a reunion after a long pause. However, PGS always relied on the response of the players in the gaming industry. The Peruvian market has joined the regional market, to get through this critical moment, and the objective was achieved: in-person networking became a reality”, the organizer commented.

In this way, Lima experienced a very auspicious return to normalcy, leading us to think of June 2022 as a renewed opportunity for the Peru Gaming Show to once again become the center of attention for the industry at a regional level.
