Grupo Slots has launched its online casino and sportsbook, Jugadon.bet.ar in the City of Buenos Aires, powered by Gaming and Innovation Group (GiG)’s iGaming platform.

Grupo Slots is headquartered in San Luis province, Argentina, and provides first-class entertainment and leisure services in more than 20 locations across Argentina including casinos, gambling & bingo halls, lottery, hotels and restaurants, and its online gaming website Jugadon.com.

The announcement follows GiG signing a final agreement with Grupo Slots on November 2020, for a full online turnkey solution, which includes their trusted iGaming platform, proprietary Sportsbook, frontend development, and CMS, GiG’s data platform & rules engine, GiG Logic.

The launch marks a new market entry for GiG, enabling it to add Argentina and the city of Buenos Aires to its growing list of licensed markets for its iGaming Platform, signifying an active presence in regulated Latin America (LatAm).

In Argentina, the City of Buenos Aires, and each province has control over gambling regulation. Grupo Slots and GiG received approval in March earlier this year, to implement the online gaming platform in Buenos Aires, one of the only 7 licenses available, obtained on the 8th of April, 2021.

Juan Ignacio Torres, General Manager for Grupo Slots, commented: “Today we had set a new milestone in the history of Grupo Slots because the beginning of Jugadon in the City of Buenos Aires is a great leap forward that enhances the wide experience of the company in the gambling industry. We built a great team with GIG, and have developed a solid and safe platform that matches regulators’ specifications as well as Buenos Aires Citys’ market requirements. We want to thank our team for their outstanding work over the last months that allowed us to successfully reach this goal.”

Richard Brown, CEO GiG, said: “I am excited to have gone live in the city of Buenos Aires with a prominent brand like Grupo Slots. Buenos Aires is a dynamic market, set to be one of the largest within Argentina with significant growth potential in the interactive space driven by regulation and growth of a digital online gaming penetration. I am extremely proud to be one of the early movers entering this market and look forward to growing our presence within the region.”
