BetMGM is launching its online sportsbook in New York on Monday, Jan. 17, joining the four major operators who marked the debut of the mobile sports betting market in the state over a week ago.

The US joint venture between MGM Resorts and Entain was one of the remaining five conditionally licensed operators that were working to meet the necessary regulatory requirements, along with PointsBet, Resorts World, BallyBet, and WynnBet. Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers have already launched operations on January 8.

BetMGM has recently signed a deal with MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment to become an Official Sports Betting Partner of the New York Knicks, Rangers and Madison Square Garden Arena.

“With today’s monumental news, we’ll now be able to fully activate our relationships with MGM Resorts’ Empire City Casino and Madison Square Garden. We look forward to offering customers in New York unique experiences that they can’t access on any other platform,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “A huge thank you to the New York Gaming Commission as well as to our entire BetMGM team who have worked tirelessly to bring this to fruition.”

The BetMGM app allows users to customize pre-game, in-play, futures and parlay wagers. BetMGM’s integration with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program gives New York’s customers the ability to redeem their gameplay for world-class experiences at MGM Resorts properties including Empire City Casino in Yonkers, Borgata in New Jersey, MGM National Harbor in Maryland, and Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

As an Official Sports Betting Partner of Madison Square Garden Arena, BetMGM also will be able to reward its customers with VIP experiences involving the Knicks and Rangers.

BetMGM also powers Yahoo Sportsbook in New York, so odds on Yahoo Sports and the Yahoo Sports app are already available when placing bets through the BetMGM platform.

This partnership is also live in other eligible states including Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Additionally, Yahoo Sportsbook powered by BetMGM is scheduled to soon launch in Louisiana.
