Gaming test lab and product certification consultancy BMM Testlabs is now licensed to test and certify casino gaming equipment for the State of Nebraska, the company announced Monday. BMM has received authorization to that end from the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission.

“BMM is very pleased to have been approved to provide testing services for casino gaming equipment in Nebraska,” commented Travis Foley, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President, North America. “Melissa Shuba, Vice President Government Affairs, and Meagan DeMello, Regulatory Compliance Manager, have done an excellent job in assuring BMM is well-positioned to provide our clients access to new and emerging markets.”

“We look forward to utilizing our decades of experience to provide our expert testing services for Nebraska,” added Foley. “We value our ongoing partnership with the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission and would like to thank their staff for their continued cooperation and diligence during this process.”

BMM Testlabs is now accepting supplier submissions for testing and certifying casino gaming equipment in the state, a press release informs. The test lab’s licensing comes as the Cornhusker State prepares to launch its casino industry. Voters authorized casino gambling at horse tracks in 2020, and a number of projects have been announced since then, with the first temporary venues in the state expected to debut later this year.

BMM is a private independent gaming certification lab that has been providing professional technical and regulatory compliance services to the gaming industry since 1981. The company has tested and certified the full scope of Class III, Class II, VLT, AWP, HHR, online/iGaming, sports betting, social, pari-mutuel, and lottery products for over four decades.

Last week, BMM received authorization to test and certify sports gaming equipment in Ohio. The licensing comes ahead of Ohio’s sports betting market launch, which is set to occur on the universal start date of January 1, 2023. The company is now accepting supplier submissions for testing and certifying equipment in that state.
