A new edition of the Feria Internacional del Juego de Madrid (FIJMA) expo is taking over Madrid, Spain, from February 21-23, at the IFEMA fairgrounds. Thus, the Spanish and European gaming industry reconvenes once again at one of the top events in the country for what will be three stacked days of activities and floor show action.

Among companies showcasing their latest novelties at the show is gaming solutions manufacturer and supplier Amatic. At Stand C8, along with partner Comatel, the business is introducing the ROULETTE GRAND JEU CURVED, the successor to the ROULETTE GRAND JEU, which has seen ‘multiple installs alone in Spain of more than 1500 units.’

Amid the event, Yogonet caught up with the manufacturer and supplier of premium gaming solutions, which specializes in the development of games and software, the production of casino cabinets, automated multiplayer systems and server-based video lottery terminals; in addition to fully integrated casino management systems and iGaming solutions.

In this exclusive interview, Amatic Sales Manager Thomas Engstberger details what the company has planned for the event, the key features of the new ROULETTE GRAND JEU CURVED, and how the gaming industry landscape has changed now that the pandemic has been left behind.

Amatic is exhibiting at the Feria Internacional del Juego de Madrid (FIJMA) in Madrid, Spain (February 21-23). What are your expectations and objectives for this expo?

After the return of big events in our industry, we expect a vast visitor base to come to our stand, which we share with our partner Comatel in Madrid. We aim to provide full services to both Spanish and International customers ranging from games and slots, to jackpots and systems.

Amatic and Comatel will be holding the world premiere of the new ROULETTE GRAND JEU CURVED at the expo. What can you tell us about this product, and how does it compare to the previous ROULETTE GRAND JEU edition?

With respect to the statement “Never change (too much of) a winning formula” this new roulette offers firstly more ergonomic CURVED screens for greater player comfort, and secondly the REVO2 – an enhanced software package with a table game suite as well as additional jackpots and features.

Besides this new product, what else has Amatic prepared for FIJMA? What can you tell us about Amatic’s current presence in Spain, and what are your plans for this market?

The showcase of Comatel contains our overall portfolio with Multiplayer Roulettes and Multiliner slots “Gemini” and “Vegas” – a new Multigame compendium – all that being developed tailor-made for the market. Moreover, our MultiLink product will be on show – the MultiGame from Amatic with progressive jackpots. With this portfolio, we underline the commitment to our partner to meet the demands of the market.

How would you describe the industry’s and your client’s current demands at the time? How do Amatic’s solutions address them?

After the quiet phase in the last three years, the demands of land-based operators have returned to where they previously were, as well as their need to invest in the latest equipment and newest available products for their gaming premises. Amatic used that time to put lots of effort into developments to meet that demand.

We just started a new year for gaming. Where do you see the gaming industry headed in 2023, and what role will Amatic play within it?

As mentioned before – with the new year and the return to the important platforms of international gaming shows – a dynamically important period has just begun. We always have and will continue to act as a partner for all operators who are looking to stand out with that special add-on to their gaming floors with our exclusive solutions.
