Sports data and technology supplier IMG ARENA has completed the acquisition of Leap Gaming, a provider of high-end virtual games for online, mobile, and retail markets.

Under the deal, first agreed upon in December of last year, more than 50 Leap staff are now part of the IMG ARENA team, with Leap’s Chief Executive Yariv Lissauer taking on the role of Senior Director and General Manager.

IMG Arena said it will combine its portfolio of rightsholder clients with Leap’s technology and products to unlock new revenue streams and provide sportsbook operators and their consumers with a wider portfolio of sports content.

Freddie Longe, President of IMG ARENA, said: “The addition of Leap Gaming to our sports betting content portfolio will enable us to enhance our offer to sportsbooks and lead the way in shaping the future of sports betting entertainment. We are looking forward to unlocking even more revenue streams and forms of fan engagement for our clients.”

Established in 2014, with offices in Malta, Israel, and Ukraine, Leap works with 120 sportsbook operators around the world. IMG ARENA invested in Leap in 2018 and worked together to launch a number of official virtual sports betting products with Nascar and basketball’s EuroLeague.

IMG ARENA delivers live streaming and data feeds for more than 45,000 sports events annually, as well as for on-demand virtual sports products and front-end solutions, including the UFC Event Centre. IMG ARENA’s clients include the UFC, DP World Tour, PGA Tour, MLS, and FA.
