Sports technology company Sportradar is further expanding its footprint in the US wagering market. The firm announced Thursday that the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission has provided its U.S. betting subsidiary, Sportradar Solutions LLC, a plenary Sports Gaming Supplier Certificate.
The State of Kansas had initially granted Sportradar a temporary certificate in September of last year. With the new plenary certificate, Sportradar now holds 46 licenses, or equivalent, in North America across U.S. states, territories, tribes and Canada.
Sports wagering companies based in Kansas will now be able to contract with Sportrdar for a range of services offered by the firm, which include integrity services, sports data, and advertising services, among others.
With its new certificate, Sportradar expands into a state where sports betting is relatively new, given Kansas went live with its legal market on September 1 last year. Currently, six online sportsbooks operate in the state – DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PointsBet and Barstool – although the list may contract following PointsBet’s announced exit from the US betting market.

Sportradar’s certification in Kansas follows an announcement earlier this week that the company has been chosen as the exclusive global audio and video (AV) and betting data rights partner of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) following a competitive bidding process.
Under the terms of the exclusive multi-year agreement, the rights encompass the major regional club tournaments organized by CONMEBOL, including the Copa Libertadores (Men’s and Women’s), the Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa Sudamericana for the next four seasons. It also marks the first time that domestic AV betting rights for CONMEBOL club competitions are offered in the region.
