Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto has fully opened its brand-new poker room with all 30 tables operating around the clock, seven days a week. It has also announced the introduction of its ‘Bad Beat’ Jackpot.

Located on a private floor of the casino resort, the room caters to the vibrant poker community’s growing demand, the company said. With a range of features and amenities, including a dedicated bar, the Great Canadian Toronto Poker Room opened in limited operation in September.

Players at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel and Elements Casino Brantford will combine their ‘Bad Beat’ Jackpots, “positioning themselves as a leading destination for local and international poker enthusiasts.” This progressive jackpot, fueled by contributions from every qualifying hand played in the participating poker rooms, offers players an additional chance to win.

The poker room features electronic table games and slots for those waiting their turn. It offers both ‘No Limit’ and ‘Limit’ stakes. For players seeking a more exclusive atmosphere, a semi-private area is available for higher-stakes games and final tables. The poker room will also feature larger poker tournaments. Table-side food & beverage is offered by “Aces Kitchen” from Woodbine Entertainment Group.

“Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is dedicated to providing an exceptional entertainment experience, and the poker room is a testament to our commitment to meeting the diverse interests of the poker community,” said Michael Kim, Executive Vice President, of Great Canadian Entertainment. “The fully operational poker room and the introduction of the ‘Bad Beat’ Jackpot are just the beginning of many exciting things yet to come at the resort.”

As part of its responsible gambling initiatives, the property features two PlaySmart Centres on the gaming floor, filled with tools and responsible gambling resources available for all players, including information on how to participate in OLG’s voluntary My PlayBreak program if they choose to take a break from gambling.
