For the second year running, Morongo Casino Resort and Spa has secured its position as the favored choice among Southern casinos, as per the latest readers’ survey results published by the Los Angeles Times.

The newspaper’s 2023 Best of the Southland Readers’ Choice poll employed a nomination and voting process that engaged readers across Southern California who honored Morongo as Southland’s best casino in the survey’s Entertainment & Living category.

“Southern California has spoken and for the second year in a row, Morongo is the #1 casino in the Southland,” said Richard St. Jean, Morongo’s Chief Operating Officer. “There is no greater honor than receiving an award from the people who matter the most to us — our guests themselves!”

The survey recognized Morongo for its extensive gaming floor featuring 4,000+ slots and 80 table games. The survey also highlighted the resort’s dining options, guest accommodations, rooms and suites, and the renowned Sage Spa, the company said.

The recent recognition adds to the accolades for the towering 27-story gaming destination, having attained a notable AAA Four-Diamond rating for the 18th consecutive year in the previous month.

Morongo has previously earned distinctions such as being labeled the top Southern California casino by Yahoo Travel and securing the title of Best Casino Resort by the Southern California Gaming Guide. Moreover, earlier this year, the renowned Cielo Steakhouse at Morongo received Wine Spectator’s National Award of Excellence for the ninth consecutive year.

Located along the 10 Freeway near Palm Springs, California and owned and operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the company recently unveiled a new mobile app for this property. The facility features six top-rated restaurants, a swimming pool with private cabanas, a spa, live entertainment and, nearby, the 36-hole championship Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.
