Ocean Casino Resort has announced its collaboration with acclaimed chef and restaurateur Michael Schulson to introduce two fine-casual dining experiences to its culinary lineup. Set to debut later this year, Pearl & Mary oyster bar and Samuel’s at Ocean will grace the lobby level, positioned opposite The Park.

With a history in Atlantic City, Schulson expressed his excitement about returning to the shore to embark on these ventures with Ocean. He remarked: “The team at this property is first class, and I look forward to opening additional concepts with them in the future.”Pearl & Mary will offer an oyster bar experience, featuring a curated menu inspired by coastal classics. Patrons can expect an array of fresh seafood delights, including assorted raw bar selections, mixed crudos, and crafted cocktails. This location marks the second iteration of Pearl & Mary, with its first establishment located in Mid Town Village, Philadelphia.

On the other hand, Samuel’s pays homage to Schulson’s familial roots, particularly his grandparents who opened a kosher butcher shop in the Bronx. Samuel’s will offer a modern twist on the all-day diner concept, boasting a menu brimming with fresh baked goods, delectable salads, and signature sandwiches.

Bill Callahan, General Manager for Ocean Casino Resort, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Schulson, stating: “We are thrilled to welcome Pearl & Mary and Samuel’s into Ocean’s portfolio of dining venues as we venture into a long-term partnership with Michael Schulson.”

Schulson, renowned for his successful ventures in Philadelphia’s hospitality scene, owns several establishments including Double Knot, DK Sushi, Independence Beer Garden, Sampan, and Graffiti Bar, among others. With his latest endeavor at Ocean, Schulson aims to elevate the resort’s dining offerings and provide guests with culinary experiences.

Both Pearl & Mary and Samuel’s at Ocean are slated to open before the summer of 2024, occupying the current Harper’s and Sky Café spaces. Harper’s celebrated brunch options will transition to a larger venue on the casino level, adjacent to Starbucks, to accommodate its growing popularity.
