The Indian Gaming Association and iGaming Business have teamed up to launch the DigitalPlay Summit, an event set to connect the expertise of U.S. tribal and commercial operators with stakeholders from the world of online sports betting and iGaming sectors.

Taking place from April 10 – 11 at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention in Anaheim, California, the summit “will help shape the future of the North American gambling industry,” according to the parties.

Brands including AGEM, Geocomply, and Everi have already confirmed their presence in the DPS’ dedicated section on the show floor, with a host of other industry names set to follow.

A main stage for conference sessions will also take its place within the exclusive event zone providing a platform for educational sessions led by industry thought leaders and experts.

The Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention is an event aimed at the tribal gaming industry and bills itself as the longest-running gaming expo in the US. “It has always led the discussions on the future of gaming and innovations, which is why hosting the DigitalPlay Summit at the 2024 event presents the opportunity to build the foundation for this emerging, potential-rich market,” organizers said in a press release.

The merger of the two shows allows for a broader range of topics and discussions and provides a more valuable experience for everyone involved, according to the Indian Gaming Association and iGaming Business.

Key highlights for the DigitalPlay Summit are set to include:

The entire iGaming ecosystem: Connects the expertise of U.S. tribal and commercial operators with insights from the established European online gaming market for greater perspective and growth potential.

Expert insights and knowledge exchange: Expert-led topics will cover the entire gaming ecosystem from slots to casinos; esports to sportsbooks; payments and more. The summit will discuss sports betting, currently legal in over 38 states with more looking to legalize it in the coming years, as this market continues to grow.

Networking opportunities: Leaders across multiple iGaming sectors, including casino and games, Esports, slots, payments, sports betting and more will have the opportunity to connect and forge new partnerships.

The DigitalPlay Summit will also showcase its first Consumer Protection Zone (CPZ) – an interactive space showcasing tools and technologies for a more compliant and safe gambling operation.

Ernie Stevens, Jr., chairman of the Indian Gaming Association, said: “Everything we do is about advancing economic self-sufficiency through gaming and other forms of economic development for tribal communities and building a sustainable future. We’re doing that by moving this industry forward.

“By creating a dedicated section to focus on iGaming and sports betting, we’re taking a proactive stance and inviting the world’s leading providers and operators to join us in an exciting evolution.”
