Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has announced plans to introduce a Capella Hotels and Resorts property in the Greater Bay Area by mid-next year. This venture marks the first Capella establishment in the region.

The forthcoming property, Capella at Galaxy Macau, is described as a “gilded mansion” in a statement released by the casino operator. Spanning 17 floors, it will comprise 36 “sky villas” and 57 suites, Macau Business reported.

“The interiors are inspired by the jungle and the lush green hills of Macau. Each Sky Villa features a light-filled balcony with a transparent infinity-edge pool, outdoor lounge, sunroom and hidden conservatory, providing guests with a tranquil natural experience all year round,” the company said in a statement.

The villas will offer luxurious amenities including a butler’s pantry, a karaoke room with a dedicated cigar butler and premium collection, a private cocktail bar, and a games lounge. Each suite will feature a private plunge pool and a balcony offering views of the city skyline.

“This collaboration aligns with our strategic growth plan to establish unique flagship properties within the Galaxy Macau integrated resort and beyond,” Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group said in a press release, as per the report.

Paris-based Moinard Bētaille has been enlisted to design the property, known for its work on luxury brand boutiques such as Cartier, Breitling, and Audemars Piguet.

Capella at Galaxy Macau aims to collaborate with experts in the fields of art and food to curate a diverse range of artworks. Renowned chef Vicky Cheng, recognized as one of Asia’s top 50 chefs and awarded Michelin stars, will also be part of the project.
