HIPTHER has announced the launch of the HIPTHER Fintech Summit, a new annual pan-European event focused on financial technology, regulation, payments, and digital banking.

The event will be hosted annually in Vilnius, Lithuania, and is positioned to bring together fintech executives, regulators, investors, banking innovators, infrastructure providers, and high-growth technology companies from across Europe.

The summit will feature discussions and sessions covering a wide range of key fintech topics, including open banking and account-to-account payments, cross-border financial infrastructure, and the growth of digital banking and electronic money institutions. It will also address regulatory and compliance matters such as MiCA implementation, AML requirements, and overall regulatory readiness.

Additional focus areas include embedded finance and B2B payments, the use of artificial intelligence in financial services, blockchain and tokenisation, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, as well as strategies for fintech investment and scaling.

“Vilnius has proven to be the perfect home for this vision,” Zoltán Tűndik, Co-Founder & Head of Business at HIPTHER, said. “By launching the HIPTHER Fintech Summit, we are establishing a dedicated annual anchor for the European fintech community to gather, collaborate, and navigate the complex but exciting intersection of technology and regulation in a city that truly lives and breathes innovation.”

The announcement follows a strong inaugural edition of HIPTHER Baltics: Vilnius, where industry participants discussed Lithuania’s regulatory landscape, open banking development, MiCA preparedness, digital payments infrastructure, blockchain applications, AI in finance, and cross-border financial services.

Lithuania has grown into a leading fintech destination in Europe over the past decade, attracting payment institutions, electronic money providers, blockchain firms, and digital banking operators. Its regulatory openness, skilled workforce, strong digital infrastructure, and EU market access have made Vilnius a strategic base for financial technology companies.

Organizers said the summit will maintain a boutique format, prioritizing senior-level participation, targeted networking, and high-impact business discussions over large-scale attendance.

The first official HIPTHER Fintech Summit will take place in Vilnius in 2027. Event dates and registration details will be announced later.
