bet365 has entered the French online betting market through the receipt of a gaming license by the Autorité Nationale des Jeux. The company’s offering is now available to local players via bet365.fr and the bet365 mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

The company added that online poker and horse-race betting products are planned for future rollout phases and will be announced at launch.

As announced by bet365, its French operation has been developed in line with ANJ licensing standards and local regulatory obligations. The company said its international strategy involves adapting products and services to individual regulated jurisdictions.

Founded in 2000 in the United Kingdom, bet365 serves more than 120 million customers across regulated markets in Europe, North America, South America and Oceania.

bet365’s expansion strategy has always been built around combining the scale, technology, innovation and expertise of a global brand with the understanding and appreciation of local customs and culture,” said Alex Sefton, bet365’s Global Chief Marketing Officer.

“Our arrival in France will be no different. We’re thrilled to create a product and experience tailored specifically for French players, within a framework fully compliant with the requirements of the French National Gaming Authority,” Sefton added.

The French platform includes Bet Builder, a feature that allows users to combine multiple selections within a single match, including match winner, total goals and named goalscorer markets. bet365 said the feature is available across 16 sports.

The company also introduced Cash Out, which allows customers to settle all or part of a bet before the conclusion of a match.

Sub On Play On, another feature included in the French offering, allows player bets to remain active after a substitution during a game. bet365 said the feature, along with Bet Builder, also applies during extra time in knockout fixtures.

Bet Tracker and Match Live are also included on the platform, providing live statistics and updates on open wagers and ongoing events.

bet365’s launch in France comes during a packed sports schedule that includes Roland-Garros, the UEFA Champions League Final, the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Tour de France. The operator is also an Official Global Partner of the UEFA Champions League.

bet365 said responsible gambling policies form part of its French operation. In addition to measures required under French regulations, including gambling controls, self-exclusion tools and voluntary gambling bans, the company said it has developed internal systems intended to identify potential excessive gambling behavior.

Its Early Risk Detection System (ERDS) monitors player activity to identify behavioral indicators associated with gambling-related risk.

bet365 also entered into a partnership with ARPEJ – Association de Recherche et de Prévention des Excès du Jeu to provide support for players showing signs of problematic gambling behavior. The measures align with its global compliance and player protection approach.
