Mohegan Sun reported $47,525,475.25 ($47.5 million) in slot revenue for May, resulting in a direct payment of $11,881,368.81 ($11.8 million) to the State of Connecticut.

The payment was made in accordance with the Mohegan Tribe’s longstanding gaming revenue contribution agreement with the state.

The monthly revenue report comes as Mohegan Sun continues to update its casino offering, including the arrival of IGT’s new Wheel of Fortune Cash on Reels slot game. The title is a multi-level progressive game on the supplier’s RISE55 cabinet.

IGT and Mohegan Sun held a player event on May 28 in the Casino of the Sky to mark the game’s arrival. The event was open to 200 members of Mohegan Sun’s Momentum loyalty rewards program and featured complimentary spins on the new game, prize giveaways, appearances by slot influencers, and other activities.

Separately, Mohegan has added two executives to its leadership team this month, naming Joe Lobe as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, and Kelly Sullivan as Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer.

In his new role, Lobe will oversee Mohegan’s global legal, compliance and risk management functions while serving as a strategic adviser to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
