Merkur Group brought together 43 compliance employees from six countries for a two-day internal workshop focused on cybersecurity, risk management, artificial intelligence, and compliance procedures.
The meeting was held from June 30 to July 1 at Benkhausen Castle, the group’s training center, and included staff from Germany, Spain, England, Malta, the United States, and Australia.
Held under the theme “Perspectives,” the program included expert presentations, a panel discussion involving representatives of several Merkur Group companies, and a digital quiz.
The company said the workshop was intended to support the exchange of operational experience and the further development of compliance processes across its international businesses. An evening session allowed participants to continue discussions outside the formal program and meet colleagues from other companies and countries within the group.
“The ideas and diverse perspectives gained during the workshop will now be incorporated into our day-to-day work and help us to continuously improve collaboration and existing processes,” explained Ludwig Beckmann, Chief Compliance Officer of the Merkur Group.
During the closing feedback session, participants frequently referred to collaboration, indicating that coordination within the group’s international compliance network was a key issue raised during the meeting.
