Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa will open a temporary smoke-free casino in its Hard Rock Event Center in late September as it renovates its main casino floor.
The temporary casino will feature 682 new slot machines and 34 table games, allowing gaming operations to continue while renovations take place.
The slot machines will include popular titles such as Lightning 10 Year Storm, Dragon Link, Phoenix Link, Railroad Riches, Monopoly, and Thunder Empire. The table-game offering will include Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, Mississippi Stud and Roulette. The tables are being relocated from the existing casino floor.
The Hard Rock Event Center Casino will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Cash centres and ticket-redemption services will be available inside the venue, while the main casino cage will remain on the primary casino floor. Unity by Hard Rock members will continue to access Players Club services on the main casino floor.

The property has also added 243 slot machines to its existing casino floor to maintain gaming capacity during renovations scheduled to begin in October. Once the temporary casino opens, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa will have 6,185 slot machines across the property.
The wider renovation will introduce additional smoke-free areas, including sections of the casino floor between the Elvis piano display and Cipresso restaurant, as well as the hotel lobby and L Bar. It will also include replacing carpets, chairs, gaming table felts and ceiling treatments in the affected areas.
The property’s existing smoke-free venues and amenities, including its restaurants, Draper Room, Rock Spa & Salon and Mezzanine Casino, will continue operating as usual. All resort facilities and dining outlets will remain open throughout construction.
